We are in the throws of mad DI-related fund-raising. And so I would like to point out that I find the people of southwest Missouri to be very big-hearted and generous! I am so thankful to live among such kind people.
When we moved here, the weirdest thing to me was that people were always trying to give my children candy. Who were these candy-givers? We did not even know them. They would come up to us from nowhere and offer my kids candy. I did NOT trust them. It was too weird. But now, over eight years later, I understand. People here are just sweet. Especially to kids.
