Much More Relaxed

Well, it's been a little while since my last post. We have been busy, as usual, but in a much more mellow, relaxed, routine way.

The kids went back to school. Alex is in 6th grade, and Missy is in 3rd. According to the kids' reports, Alex never does anything at school, and Missy has an amazing teacher who is absolutely the greatest teacher she has ever had since second grade.

Becky went back to school, too. I am happily adjusting to teaching a couple of classes on top of the aide work, and still loving my job. (By the way - big news!!! - I passed BOTH special ed tests! Aside from a little paperwork, I am all set to add Special Ed. K-12 to my certification.)

We've also gone back to some serious Tae Kwon Do. Both kids tested for new belts. Missy is now a Senior Green, and Alex is one test away from Black.

And Missy took in a tournament. She earned a third place trophy for her pattern.

Things really are calming down. I sat outside today some and soaked in the beautiful, breezy, cool day. Later, Missy gave me a Mario Kart lesson and beat me at Crazy Eights (she's a killer card player). I'm also thinking we'll try eating dinner at home this week, and I even have a plan to make it happen! It is so good having a little time to sit back and relax.
